Did you know that July is national grilling month?! This means that summer is truly here, and it is the perfect time for outdoor cooking!

When I think of summertime and grilling, I usually start craving a burger! I love them so much, and they are a classic summertime go-to, but sometimes I want to change things up and add some more veggies! Here are three tasty veggie burger recipes that will do the trick!

If you do not have access to a grill, don’t worry! You can cook up all of these burgers in The Dash Mini Maker Grill!

Sweet Potato Burgers

Ingredients:
1 medium sweet potato
⅔ cup canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 egg
¼ cup whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon ground coriander
½ teaspoon salt
4 burger buns

Directions:
Use the Dash Rapid Peeler to peel the sweet potato. You’ll need about 2 cups of shredded sweet potato. Place in a bowl with the chickpeas, egg, flour and spices and use your hands to mix it all together.

Cook burgers in the Dash Mini Maker Grill until crisp. Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings!

Spicy Beet Burger

Ingredients:
4 medium beets, peeled & cubed
1 cup quinoa, cooked
1 egg
½ yellow onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
3 tablespoons oat flour
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon sea salt

Directions:
Roast the beets at 350F for 25 minutes. Blend the beets in the Dash Chef Series Digital Blender on "pulse" until broken up, but not mashed. Place the beets into a large bowl and add the remaining ingredients and mix well.

Form into burger patties and cook on a lightly greased Dash Mini Maker Griddle until done, about 5 minutes. Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings!

Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients:
1 can drained and rinsed black beans
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon cumin
½ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon chopped cilantro
¼ cup yellow onion chopped
¼ cup organic bread crumbs
1 egg

Directions:
Mash 1 cup of the beans with a fork and then add the rest of the beans and spices. Mix well. Add the onion, bread crumbs, and egg and mix again.

Scoop about 1/3 cup of mixture and press into a patty. Grill in the Dash Mini Maker Grill. Serve on a bun with your favorite toppings!
